ReplyDeleteThe area i'm interested in is about body art especially tattoos, which is also linked to culture. I feel that tattoos is definitely an art but why some group of people say it looks dirty. Skills such as creativity, concentration and drawing, that professional tattoo artists must have are the same as artist from other fields. I'm wondering ,does the influence of culture change persuade more people to get a tattoo? and what are the reasons why people decide to get a tattoo done? I hope i will find answers to all of my questions when i'm doing a research for this final essay.
I think this is really interesting. People have been tattooing themselves in many cultures around the world forever, but it has become a real fashion in the last 10-15 years. It would be interesting to focus on one aspect of tattooing for a 3-4 page essay. Work to narrow it.

However, in this essay, I will write about the benefits of the design or shape of pyramid. First, I will focus on how can pyramid's shape affect the direction of magnetic field. Secondly, as we know that animals that die in pyramid will not decay. Thus, this will be explained in my essay as well.

ReplyDeleteI'm interested on how different music producers mix music to produce a unique one, which is definitely related to art. Without ideas and imagination, There won't be electro/house music mixed by DJs, in respect to the original music composer. The style in which they're able to sync many different music together is interesting. My major is physics, which is technically not related to this, but it is only related on the sound waves and the identification of different pitches and frequencies. We can't just bring 10 different type of music and mash it up, it is not going to be successful. There must be practice on how each music should relate with each other to attract listeners, and different styles that DJs like Skrillex, DJBl3ND, or David Guetta use. I feel this is a very interesting topic that i would like to write for the essay.
This is great, and if you can use clear examples from the DJs you mentioned, these will be very clear supporting details. Your challenge will be how to clearly describe the point your trying to make.

One is writing about music which is my favorite hobby and another one is writing about the creative design of Apple products which I didn't have a chance to write in the in-class essay. If you're focusing on "design", I'm not sure that examples like the "pinch-zoom" is an example of design. It is a new function, but not a design. In order to link to design and art, you will need to focus on clear examples that support.

ReplyDeleteFor my essay on a theme related to art I am interested relating art to my idols Valentino Rossi or Jimmy Hendrix. As these two famous people are my idols in different ways, Rossi was an idol for me ever since I started to race motorcycles because he inspired me into using his technique for going into corners and has helped me improve in my lap time and making it to being able to race for Thailand. As for Jimmy Hendrix, I don't know how to play the guitar but justing watching him it and the solos inspired me into listening to the guitar lines in songs.

Furthermore, nowadays pop music captures great part of business. To illustrate, I have had a part time job at k-pop singers' show case in Thailand. Although it was Korean singers' show case in different country, there were uncountable number of people and singers received an enthusiastic response. At that time, I realized that music is not only good part of art, but also good material of international business these days.
Yes. Pop, and especially K-Pop, have mastered the link between art and commerce. Try to focus on 2-3 reasons for why K-Pop has become such a commercial success. This will be a good topic.

The Mystery of Mona Lisa
The topic that I am going to chose for my research topic is the mystery of Mona Lisa. The reason I choose this topic is because I enjoy history class: I even read history book in my free time! For me what is more interesting than both history and mystery? It is a topic in which I will enjoyed, after all isn’t Mona Lisa one of the world mystery? Wouldn’t it be interesting if you at least know the origin and the mystery surrounding the portrait? I am a curious person by natured so I believe that my curious mind will enjoyed finding out about the mystery that surround Mona Lisa. On other hand, another reason that I choose this topic is because I have been to the Louvre and seen the real painting: I have to say that I am not that impressed. ReplyDeleteI started to have an interest in film production. Since I became interested in film production, the way I look at videos has completely changed. Before I did not pay attention on any meaningful effects that the director has managed to express to audiences. In fact, I did not even know whether there were such things. However, now I am trying to figure out the reason and purpose of directors why they have chosen this type of sound effects, how did he manage to control the character's emotion, the selection of backgrounds, the way that cameras take the scene, potentially meaningful lines and etc. If people do not notice those important aspects of film, films may be inappropriate to be called "art". However, I believe the presence of dramatic emotion makes film production as one of the greatest humanities art.
