We have finished the Introductions for our final essays. That is the first step. The Introductions should contain a clear Thesis Statement. It is that one sentence that tells the reader what the essay is about...
So, what happens next?
In this journal, describe some of the supporting paragraph ideas that will follow your Introduction. Make sure that your ideas do not change or forget the point stated in your Thesis Statement. In this journal, you do not need to explain a lot of details, but what are the supporting ideas for your essay.
Remember to include your ID# and Section # in your post. Aj. M

ReplyDeleteFor the next step, I will show the readers how the environmental issues can affect health problems. Firstly, I will show them what are the main issues that affect for Thai people's routine. For example, contaminated water in public, air pollution and traffic jam. Secondly, I will show them the follow problems that will come along with these issues. Lastly, I will show them how to solve these problems.
Ok... work to be as specific as possible. "Problems" and "Solutions" can be boring essays if they're not specific.
DeleteI will give the reasons why supplementary food doesn't really help our body much as everybody thought. Also show the examples that if we have a good lifestyle in eating and exercising, supplementary food won't necessary at all. I will show the bad-effects that happened from any kinds of supplementary food too.

ReplyDeleteMy topic is about the junk food addiction. I will write the supporting ideas about
- people get addicted to junk food due to the conveniences, costs, and lifestyles
- The addiction will be as strong as a drug : the chemical and ingredients in junk food are entering the brain in the same ways as illegal drugs( cocaine and nicotine ), example is shown in the experiment of animals
- growth of the problem in Thailand : shows the statistics compared to the past, life expectancy
I like this. Especially narrowing down to the situation in Thailand. This is an effective plan.

ReplyDeleteMy essay topic is about how cooking destroys vitamins in vegetable. I think I will write three more body paragraphs. The first one is about what are vitamins and how easily they can be destroyed during cooking. The second paragraph is going to be about if it is enough vitamins to consume after cooking, and I will compare the number between amount of vitamin of raw vegetable and cooked. Next is about the way to prevent the destruction of vitamin during cooking, or what should do with vegetable, how to save the vitamins as long as possible. So we can gain maximum amount from consuming vegetable.
Ok... I think you have a clear idea here.

ReplyDeleteHi Aj Matthew
the topic is "how exercise extend lifespan"
think i would come up with detailed information ranging from basic knowledge to more scientifically sophisticated knowledge. For example, i would additionally give the benefits of exercise or some fact about it. Then after this, i would give some scientific background; how the mechanism in our body stimulated during exercise could benefit our health. And perhaps, i would come up with argument whether trying to achieve long lifespan was good idea or not.
here's my content arrangement
-general knowledge
-more specific information
-exercise directly extend lifespan
-exercise indirectly extend lifespan by preventing disease
-the obstacle of practicing it
thanks for reading
Ok, we have talked about this in class already, and I think you have worked to narrow it, which is a good step here.
