Journal Blog #5: What is your area of interest?

It is now time to start thinking of what you're going to do. I have been leading you up to now, exposing you to a variety of texts and ideas about leaders and leadership. We have seen how good and bad essays are organized, and you have given it a try already in your in-class essay.

Any essay has to start with an idea. The only rule for the last assignment is that whatever topic you do has to, in some way, relate to our theme of leadership. Start thinking about where you're going to go. Take the next step and consider your sub-theme. In this journal blog, tell me what your sub-theme is and why you want to go that way. Is it related to your major? Is it a general interest you already have? Do you have a personal connection or experience to this idea? Let me know what you're thinking, so I can help you to continue narrowing down to a particular idea.

Remember to include your Section # and ID# in your post. Aj. M

My sub-theme may be about space exploration.
I am interested in space science from the past. The International Space Station project has been carried out since 2011, and I want to search about it more.

    1. I like this very much. You may narrow down to the work of a particular country or scientist that is "leading" the field of space exploration.

My sub-theme is international business that related to my major. I want to know more about the relationship between countries and their businesses like some countries that grow their businesses so fast and how they become a leader of economics, for example. I want to research about this theme.

I would like to write about Tourism Management As well Hotel Management because I personally interested in this theme. Moreover, it is my major course, so it might be helpful if I could have some idea about what I am going to learn in the future.

My sub-theme is about music especially electronic music. In general, I like to listen and interest in electronic music. It's not much related to my major which is international business. I want to know that how it become popular and who bring it to the new age of music.

    1. I will follow this. This sounds like you will focus on a person or innovation who/that has brought electronic music into the mainstream. This could even be a technology essay if you wanted it to be.

My sub-theme is sport(soccer). I'm very crazy about soccer, and definitely I am a big fan of Manchester Untied. Therefore, I would like to write something that related to my favorite sport.

    1. This is possible. You may consider Man U as an organization rather than looking at a particular player or manager. Why not consider the importance and fame of Man U as an organization around the world?

My major is Business Economics. I want to study in this major because it is not specific in one field but it is wide open and gives me the perspective of the overall economics. My sub- theme is international business. If I know about the world economics so I will be able to predict the future (of the economics) so I think it will be easier to do business with other countries. I think this two field is related to each other.

    1. These two fields are certainly related. Now, relate them to the theme of leadership and keep going.
