Clearly there are good essay and there are bad essay. Some are interesting. Some are not. Sometimes the quality of the topic depends on the reader's interest. But then other times, a great writer has an ability to make a boring topic amazing.One thing is for sure: as a writer, you need to care about what you're writing. If you don't care, one... it will be very hard to write, and two... your reader will know that you don't care. Neither is a good thing. As readers, we like to be inspired, and surprised, and informed. This is enjoyable to us.
So the question is, how do we develop, create, and find a good topic to write about? In your opinion, what are the ingredients of a great topic?

For me I think that a good topic suppose to be general but debatable. For example, global warming or economic crisis, these are topics that very general but have a various way to talk about such as whether global warming harm animals or not, or does economic crisis come from government or not. These topics might be simple but it is clear and easy for writer to write as they have some background knowledge about it and the topic also up to date which can be develop further. On the other hand, topics that talk about history or specific things which require extra knowledge by reading book or researching are not a good topic because not everyone have common interest that they would be able to write specific thing with the same quality of content, so good topic must base on general knowledge or something that have been teach during lesson so that writer would know what to write about. Moreover, good topic must be able easy for writer to do critical thinking or brainstorming so that they can come up with supporting ideas. This is because the topic that is hard to find supporting ideas usually mess up writer mind and the body paragraph. As a result, they would not be able to control the flow of essay and that might lead so some of logical logical fallacies in the essay.

We have to remember that readers don't want to read about something they know already. We read to learn, to be entertained, to be informed. If it is a specific topic that the reader doesn't know about, this doesn't mean that its a bad topic... but it is the writer's job to get the reader's interest.
DeleteIn my opinion, a great topic should be ordinary but pass in the interesting and discussing in the topic. When writing an essay, we have to read the topic and outline many times for make it clear and easy to understand. Also, topic should be strong to focus on. Moreover, the topic can be able to provide worldwide answers because there are many aspects for answers the question, so it is no right or wrong when you writing. At the same time, writers can research other knowledge for supporting topic too. It can come from reading books or article and discussing. DeleteReading is one of the effective ways to enhance writing skill. Yes…It is sound boring when someone told you to read, but this is the perfect method for every person in order to have more knowledge and ideas for writing. When people receive a lot of information from reading, they be able to use those information wisely and logically. However, not only reading assist people to improve their writing skill, but also experiences are required. People have to practice a long period of time in order to have an excellent writing skill. From my perspective, moderate topic or no more, no less topic (not too general or not too specific); which are the topic that people can argue, discuss, and debate because every person does not have to same thought about those topic. It sounds not difficult to say, but it is quite difficult to do. Moreover, a great topic should have a clear sentence for readers and writers to read which will not make them confused while reading the significant part of the paragraph.

DeleteIs a great topic necessary or not? Some people think that the detail of the story is actually more significant than a topic. For me, I absolutely oppose from this dialogue. I think that the topic is the best part of the story in order to create an interested story because it shows briefly describes the detail in story what does the story refer to. With the development of a good topic, it should not be complex for readers because a confused topic is not outstanding for the readers to read more information. The topic should be short to easily read and remember, for instance, “The truth about baby food” is simply to understand.

DeleteIn my opinion, how people can wisely manage their thoughts or ideas is the main ingredient that makes their overall writing good. But first, they should find the topic that they are interested in because if people are interested in something, they will be able make it excellent. So, I think their interesting topic can lead them to have many clear ideas to write about, and they won't have to take a lot of time to think about it. By the way, I think even though people have a good topic, they should have to know how to manage it. For example, they should make their idea of each paragraph of their writing clear in order that the readers will understand what they are saying easily, and the idea of each paragraph, such as introduction and body, should be connected with each other. One of the way to solve that question is that writers have to read a lot of books to receive knowledge about many topics in different categories. A good essay does not need to be debatable. An argumentative essay... yes... needs to be debatable, but maybe you just want to write to inform, to explain... this does not require a debate.
DeleteIn order to develop, create, and find a great essay, the topic essay should be specific and clear. Sometimes, the topics are general and wide information which confuse writers to write and focus on. For instance, when writers receive a topic essay that very difficult for them to understand, they will completely miss the point of the main content which leads the reader to loose attention of the writing. However, it is difficult for some people because they can not chose the topic. May be we should have many topics to choice that covering our interest or general knowledge.

DeleteTo write something good is almost the same as have a good presentation. Writing is very similar to a presentation in many ways. One thing is that it has the same structure. Good opening in a presentation is totally acting the same way as having a good topic in a writing. For example, a good writing could stated a relevant statistic that is related to the story that a person is going to write about, so do presentation. But the question is what really make a good topic? Well, another reason is all about the audience. Many successful articles are mostly write something that are related to the audience or make them belong to the topic. For example, a question that does not need answer. This would allow the reader to develop their own thinking using the writing as sources. Nevertheless, a good topic only matter as long as the writers know how to attract the audiences. Let take the essay How yoga wreck your body as an example, the writer present a new point that most readers never know base on what people think they know. In my opinion, an interesting topic comes from a situation that the world is facing because every person should know what happen. For example, flooding in Myanmar is happening right now, thus the topic can be why is it happen or what can we help them which is illustrate writers’ opinion. Writers should catch people’s interest in an introduction, give an example in a body and summarize in a conclusion for making people have more interest. DeleteIn my view, a great topic does not have to be specific topic, but it can be a common topic. To take attention from readers, writers should use word that can surprise or attract them mind to think what this essay will talk about. Moreover, writers should develop paragraph. Do not write too long in one paragraph because this will make readers feel uncomfortable to read it. If it too much text in one paragraph, writers can separate it into a new paragraph. DeleteInteresting topic should not be a formal topic; a topic that is associated with medical, chemical or the story that people are usually inaccessible. Although writers know about these topics really well, readers feel hard to understand or bored. Therefor, interesting topics should be the topics that exist in the readers’ lives such as news, problem, and so on.
